Biography of DJ Scar SBE RADIO CEO
Being in love with music my whole life, I joined the entertainment scene in 2000 and become known as DJ SCAR. Intrigued with spinning records and making crowds of people dance, I taught myself how to blend and mix tracks. From being around well-known DJs and listening to radio shows/numerous DJ mix tapes, I further mastered this craft and I was able to mix smoother, cut and MC. Growing up in the city of Miami in a popular Hip-Hop, Reggae, and Soca environment, I had to naturally embrace great music and started DJ’ING for local house parties and local bars etc... In 2004, I promoted this local club in Miami for about four years and thereafter, I moved to Toronto Canada where I continue DJ’ING and promoting parties. Knowing that the Afro-beat is taking over the world, I have to do the same by embracing African music while exploring its beauty.
I move to Canada in 2008, and in 2009, I started to promote a local club in Scarborough and mixing for other events/clubs and bars such as Zodiac Lounge, Windies Restaurant & sports bar, Fusion Lounge, SakPase Toronto, The Festival KompaZouk Ontario (FKZO) where I get the prestigious honor every year to be the main DJ and a few African clubs in the Greater Toronto Area. For the past few years, I enjoyed participating in the African Festival and the after-party. These events help create a better connection with the culture while continuing to explore the beauty of the music.
In 2010, I started an online Radio. During Covid, I had a surge in listeners and online fans during my virtual parties to celebrate my friend's milestones in Toronto, Montreal and Miami.
I am very motivated to further my DJ career and I want to make a name for myself not just in Canada and Miami but around the world.
